At Fish R Us, we prioritize the safety of your livestock above all else. Shipping speeds are carefully selected based on the specific needs of your fish:

  • Species-Specific Care: More delicate or larger individuals typically require Overnight shipping to minimize time in transit, while hardier species may qualify for 2-3 day options.
  • Optimized Arrival: Our goal is to ensure every fish arrives healthy and vibrant, using the most efficient route from our climate-controlled facility to your door.

To ensure your dry goods and gear reach you efficiently, we utilize FedEx Ground for all non-livestock orders.

  • Reliable Delivery: Our branded apparel, artisanal honey, and “Chromamax Nature” fish food are shipped via UPS Ground to provide a balance of safety and value.
  • Estimated Timelines: Depending on your distance from our facility, transit times typically range from 1 to 5 business days.
  • Tracking Your Order: Once your “Dry Goods” or “Lifestyle” items depart our warehouse, you will receive a tracking number to monitor their journey to your doorstep.

Yes. However, at Fish R Us, we are committed to the highest standards of environmental safety and legal compliance.

Please be advised that various states have strict agricultural and environmental guidelines that prohibit the import of certain fish species.

  • Automatic Cancellation: Any order containing a species prohibited in the destination state will be cancelled immediately.
  • Administrative Processing Fee: A $100 Administrative & Restocking Fee will be deducted from your refund. This fee covers the labor and time required by our team to audit, intercept, and restock items that cannot be legally shipped.

To avoid fees and ensure a smooth delivery, we strongly recommend checking with your local Department of Fish and Wildlife or equivalent state agency before completing your purchase.

In the rare event that your order is impacted during the shipping process, we are here to help. Please notify us immediately upon confirming a loss. Do not discard any livestock without contacting us and receiving authorization to do so.

To qualify for a refund, please provide a single, continuous video that includes the following:

  • The Seal Break: Clearly show the moment you cut the tape and open the shipping box for the first time.
  • Immediate Confirmation: The video must show the deceased livestock inside the original packaging immediately upon opening.
  • Clear Visibility: Ensure the fish are clearly visible within the frame so our team can accurately assess the condition of the arrival.

While we take every precaution to ensure your order departs our facility on time, delays caused by the carrier are outside of our immediate control. If your shipment arrives later than the scheduled delivery window, please follow these steps:

  • Immediate Receipt: To ensure the health and acclimation of your fish, all live shipments must be accepted immediately upon the first delivery attempt by the courier.
  • First Attempt Policy: Our Live Arrival Guarantee is only valid if someone is present to receive the package when it first arrives. If a delivery is missed or delayed due to no one being available at the destination, the guarantee will unfortunately be voided.
  • Plan Ahead: We recommend monitoring your tracking number closely and ensuring someone is available at the shipping address on the scheduled delivery date to transition your new fish into their environment without delay.

To ensure the safety of our livestock and the sustainability of our shipping network, we require all customers to adhere to the following delivery protocols:

Shipment Acceptance Policy

  • Mandatory Acceptance: All shipments must be accepted upon delivery under any and all circumstances. Refusing a shipment is extremely stressful for the livestock and may lead to a total loss.
  • Refusal Consequences: Any refused shipment will result in an immediate and permanent disqualification from all future livestock purchases from fishrustexas.com. Additionally, the customer will be held financially responsible for all costs associated with the refused shipment.

Reporting External Damage

If your package arrives with visible damage to the exterior (crushing, leaking, or tearing), please take the following steps to protect your guarantee:

  1. Alert the Courier: Immediately report the damage to the delivery person before they leave.
  2. On-Site Inspection: Open the package in the presence of the courier so they can officially document the condition of the internal contents.
  3. Requirement for Guarantee: Failure to report visible external damage to the courier at the exact time of delivery may void your Live Arrival Guarantee.

Claims and Disputes

While we are here to support you with documentation, all claims regarding shipping delays or physical damage caused by the carrier must be handled and filed directly with the courier company.
