The Dojo Loach (Misgurnus anguillicaudatus), famously known as the Weather Loach, is a captivating addition to the home aquarium. Characterized by its elongated, eel-like silhouette and energetic personality, this species can reach a substantial length of 12 inches. Highly regarded for their hardiness and interactive behavior, these loaches are even known for their unique sensitivity to barometric pressure changes. They thrive in spacious environments and are compatible with a wide variety of peaceful tank mates.

The Golden Leopard Dojo Loach (Misgurnus anguillicaudatus var.) is a high-contrast “oddball” fish that brings both utility and charm to the aquarium. Unlike the solid Golden Dojo, the Leopard variant displays a beautiful mottled pattern that mimics the coat of a wild cat.

These fish are incredibly social and famous for their “weather-sensing” abilities, often becoming playful and energetic when they detect changes in barometric pressure.
